Remembering Uncle Sam fondlly. He lived with Mom ( Alta) and Dad ( Scotty) for a few years and always had his arms ready to cuddle one of my children when we visited. When Uncle Don or Uncle John visited there was always a game of crib in the dining room. They all loved going to the camp to hunt every fall. Treasure your memories.

Sam , you will be missed everyday . I was lucky enough to get to spend my evenings with you and get to know you . You are one of the most caring people I ever met. We talked about so many things and laughed about so much more . I know some day we will meet again . You brought so much joy to my life . I thank god for putting you in my life . It will never be the same without you here . But I know you are with your wife and happy . I will always cherish the time we spent together. Love always Tina Henderson

Sam, You were always my favourite person to see. I am so thankful you and Fran were a huge part of my life. So many wonderful memories we had that I will always cherish. From me singing to you in the backseat of the car as a little girl, spending a couple of summer nights with you and Fran and going for drives, your visits on my Uncle Stan’s Farm, and the many visits and family dinners at mom and dad’s. That trip we all took to PEI in 2000 and all the fun we had there. There was always a crib board on the table no matter if it were at your place or my parents. You definitely were better at skunking dad and Chris that’s for sure! I’ll miss the endless teasing, that twinkle in your eye, and that contagious smile you had that always lit up a room. You were one my greatest supporters, always loving, always kind and patient. There will be a huge void now that you are gone. I know you are in a better place now with Fran, I’m sure she was itching to see you again, as were you of her. You guys were a match made in heaven. Thank you for all the beautiful memories and love through the years. Heaven gained the best angel and make sure you skunk the big guy up there and show him how great you are crib!

Hi Sam (or should I say Dad). Even though we only met the last few years, I feel like I knew you all my life. You were the sweetest, kindest, patient man And I was so happy to be a part of your life and you a part of mine. And just a sweet reminder… Rita is not the only one who skunked you. And as you always said to me… Love you forever and always! I’ll miss you.
