Obituary of Shirley Lois Reicker
It is with profound sadness that the family of Shirley Lois Reicker announce her peaceful passing which occurred on December 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Belyea’s Cove, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on April 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ottis and Mary (McCann) Bostwick.
Shirley is survived by her children: Richard “Rick” Reicker (Beth) of Hatfield Point, NB, and Joyce Freeze (Keith) of Springfield, NB; grandchildren: Matthew (Angela) Guptill, Rory (Tanya) Reicker, Ryan (Laura) Reicker, Marce Donovan and Cody (Marion) Donovan; great-grandchildren: Megan, Owen, Ethan, Ayda and Macey Guptill; Austin, Hailey Reicker and Ylva Reicker and Collins, Makenzie and Cayden Donovan; sisters: Margaret “Peggy” MacDonald of Hampton, NB and Sandra Gray (David) of Midland, NB; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband Roland Reicker in 2019; siblings infant twins David and Dawn Marie Bostwick; sister Geraldine Mott; and brothers: Joseph, George and John “Jack” Bostwick.
The family would like to express a sincere Thank You to Shelley from Extra Mural for the care shown towards Shirley and her family. A big Thank you to Brenda for support and care over the last months; to Karen, Christiane and Charlene for also coming on board when more help was needed. A special Thank You as well to Patricia for extra help and support. The family greatly appreciates all the love and kindness shown towards Shirley and it won't be forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00am from Outreach Pentecostal Church, 2129 Route 124, Hatfield Point, NB. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
