Irene and family, I was sorry to read of Ethel's passing. I had some great visits with her when she lived with you and your husband while doing her foot care for alot of years.. A beautiful write up about her life. She had such a strong faith in God that helped her during her life. Will treasure the many crafts she gave me over the years which she made with love. Rest in peace Ethel. I know God has opened his arms to you and said " well done my good and faithful servant". My prayers and sympathy to her family.

We were sad to learn of Ethel's passing. She was a wonderful lady, and always so proud and happy to talk about her children and her large family. Ethel will be missed by a whole community. From the crafts she made with love, and the chats by phone to friends and neighbours. We should add that whenever she called us, she would always ask, "How's Joan and Bill from down the hill?" We're going to miss those phone calls. We will keep you all in our prayers.

Sharon, Irene, Clarence and families,
What a shock to learn of your mom’s passing this morning. She was such a blessed saint and meant so much to my parents and me! (I agree with everything they said in their condolences too.) She was so loving, caring, giving, always had a smile on her face, and never complained about anything. It was such a pleasure to visit her both in her home and on the phone. She was a wonderful friend, and I loved her very much. I treasure every memory of her! She loved her Lord and Saviour and served Him right to the end. I know she will be missed by a multitude of people, including me! May the Lord comfort you all at this time of grief, and may you rejoice that she is in heaven with her Jesus whom she loved so much.

Ethel: our beloved "Saw-dust-Maker".
What a godly lady, a giant in the faith, a friend to everyone she met. All her life was dedicated to service in any way she could. When we served in Central Wickham she was quick to volunteer for everything she could handle, even with her limited mobility. We often visited her up on the hill in her Shannon home where she was always busy mailing out tracs or talking to truckers on theC.B.about their need for a Saviour. Many were brought into the kingdom of the Lord through her testimony and Oh, the great rejoicing there is in heaven as she meets the One she always talked about. After we moved away we kept in touch via letters and phone calls and she always ended her letters with, "TAKE CARE FOR I CARE". We will miss her sage advice, her beautiful smile and her quick wit. To all those who are blessed to have been related to her,you will miss her and we send our condolences but rest assured, your loss in heaven's gain.

Surprised to read of Ethel's passing. I talked with her on the phone in October - she was so alert and pleasant to talk with. Sending our deepest sympathy to her family. She was so involved at Mill Cove Nursing Home - I'm sure they will miss her there as well. She never complained and loved doing the Bible studies and crafts. A wonderful lady indeed.

Dear Irene and family,
Your mom Ethel was a dear friend of my mom ( Marg Day) for many years until her passing 1996. They enjoyed visits, CB’ing and woodworking projects. I still have the garbage box with lid she built many years ago. When we summered in Shannon and took the boys to the little Baptist church your mom often helped out with the classes showing them various wood projects which they brought home- I have some still tucked away in the living room and every time I dust I am reminded of your mom and the blessing she was to many. May her loving memories carry you on through this journey of grief. God strengthen and comfort you and your family.
