Obituary of Muriel Gray

It is with great sadness that the family of Muriel Emma Gray announces her passing which occurred on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Stratford, ON, on April 8, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Garnet and Annette (Cote) MacKenzie. Muriel had a strong faith and is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Saviour. She was a member of the Norton United Baptist Church and touched many lives as an elementary school teacher. Muriel loved well and is survived by her loving husband, Joe Gray; children: Lori Kerstens (John) of Fredericton, NB, and Michael Gray (Tara) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren: Landon, Mya, and Calen; brother, Wayne MacKenzie (Jane) of Burlington, ON; and sister: Mary Anne McGibbon (John) of Sussex, NB; as well as many extended family members and close friends. In addition to her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her brother, John MacKenzie, and grandson, Cole Gray. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Wednesday September 9th from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held, and a private family interment will take place at Midland Cemetery.
