Obituary of Earl Glenwood Waugh
It is with great sadness that the family of Earl Glenwood Waugh announce his passing which occurred on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at his home in Bocabec, NB. Born in Fielding, NB on May 15, 1935, he was the son of the late Fraser and Verna (MacDougall) Waugh.
Earl had a great love for his family. He enjoyed spending time with all of the children, teaching them to hunt and to fish in his pond! Earl loved telling them stories about all the places and projects he had worked on over the years. He worked on nearly every bridge and dam in New Brunswick. Earl was especially proud of his last surveying job on the Confederation bridge.
We love him dearly, Husband, Dad, Father, Grampy, Papa, Pup, Great Grampie. Uncle and friend. It doesn't matter what we called him, he will stay in our hearts forever!
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Waugh (Cole); children: Ola McIntosh, Wanda Windle (Roy), Aubrey Waugh (Linda), Audrey Evans (Ron), Cindy Gilbert (Dave), John Waugh (Lori), Randy Waugh (Heather), Mae Carrier (Joe Jr.) and David Waugh; thirty grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; brother-in-law Raymond Wasson (Marilyn); sister-in-law Cathy Waugh; as well as many special nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Earl was predeceased by his son Earl Waugh Jr.; brothers: Oral and Wiley Waugh; sister Elizabeth Wasson; grandson Lonnie John McIntosh; son-in-law Leon McIntosh; and daughter-in-law Debbie Whalen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6 2024, from 12:00 to 2:00pm with the funeral service following at 2:00pm. For those unable to attend the service, it will be livestreamed through Earl’s obituary and will begin at 2:00pm Atlantic Standard Time. Interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery.
