Obituary of David Webster

It is with deep sadness that the family of David Albert Webster announce his passing on May 20, 2024 peacefully at his home in Bloomfield, NB, where he was born on June 18th, 1933. He was the son of the late Geoge and Elizabeth [Veysey] Webster.

Although David never married or had any children of his own, family was very important to him. He was one of 12 children. He had numerous nieces [great and great-great] and nephews [great and great-great]. If you ever met David, he would proudly tell you he had 11 grandchildren which he considered his own, Eric [Annika], Evan [Amelia], Laura, Rebecca [Kieron], Jessica [Mike], Benjamin, Lucas, Austin, Zachary, Aimee and Alianna and two great-grandchildren, Willow and Rylee.

David was a farmer his entire life. He grew a garden, raised beef cattle and cut pulp wood on the homestead in Bloomfield where he was born and raised over 90 years ago. He loved the mountain. That is not to say that he didn’t like to travel as well. He took many bus trips with Nancy’s Tours traveling all over the Maritime provinces, Newfoundland and Labrador, Niagara Falls and to the Tulip Festival in Ottawa.

His favorite past times included hunting, trapping and fishing. He loved the great outdoors and being in nature. He was an avid bird watcher and was always amazed by the simple beauty of his flower garden. He would often sit outside in the sun and admire it for hours at a time.

David is survived by his sister Rose [Duffy] and brother Russell. Besides his parents, David is predeceased by his brothers Percy, Milton, Carl, Clarence, Ronald and Laverne, and sisters Grace [Melanson], Vivian [Burke], and Pauline [Harvey].

The family would like to extend their gratitude to his Extra Mural nurses and is home care worker Linda who provided exceptional care over the years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), Scovil Road, Norton NB, where all services will be held privately. Interment will take place in Midland Cemetery.
