Kathy and Family!
We have just returned from an out of country trip and although we knew that she was ill this was still unexpected. I knew her for 60+ years. We had a lot of good times in school. She will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with you as you grieve for your only sister.

When I would be down for a visit and run into Wendy she would welcome me with a hug.She had a wonderful kind heart with a great work ethic. I was deeply saddened when I learned of Wendy’s passing. I have found memories of going to Hal’s Store when visiting Norton with my children. Wendy always chatted with the kids like people, not just kids. She had such a wonderful smile that lit up the store. She always made you feel special. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Rick, Lisa, Jon, Kathy and family, sending our sincere condolences to all of you at this sad and difficult time. Our hearts break for all of you with the loss of Wendy. Wendy was a longtime friend to our family and have many wonderful memories of her and remembering all the chuckles and laughs with working together. Wendy loved the little Village of Norton and went above and beyond but she loved her family most of all. This is for the Alcorn Family and for Kathy, I went to school with Wendy and she was driven to get things done, we had many weekends growing up as her grandparents cottages was beside ours at Mechanic Lake, we spent alot of time swimming and fishing and catching frogs...and eventually sold the cottage to Kathy and her aunt as I recall....Hold your family close and remember our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Wendy Alcorn! I could always count on a smile and a warm welcome from Wendy anytime I saw her!! From the time I was a young child to an adult, her greeting and outpouring of love was always the same.
One of my fondest memories as a child, was visiting my uncle Hals store, especially when Wendy was working because she just lit up a room! When she spoke to me it was like I was the only person on Earth. Wendy also, refused to charge tax to children buying Penny Candy. Such a simple memory but a profound one for me.

Wendy and Richard were my first friends after moving to NB, they were incredibly kind and welcoming. we had many great times together. My heart aches for her family as I know how close of a bond they shared. Norton has lost a champion for the village and her family and friends have lost a generous and loving human being.
