Obituary of Sonja Bastarache

It is with great sadness that the family of Sonja Bastarache announce her passing which occurred on Friday, January 12, 2024 at her home in Havelock, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on March 5, 1948, she was the daughter of the late John and Thelma (Brown) Landry.

Sonja is survived by her loving husband Alfred Bastarache of Havelock, NB; daughter Cindy McEachern of Moncton, NB; grandson Ethan Lumsden of Moncton, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sonja was predeceased by her sister Marlene Crawford.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 4 to 7PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00AM from Sherwood’s Funeral Chapel. A private family interment will take place in the spring.
