Obituary of Lee Colpitts

It is with great sadness that the family of Lee Colpitts of Norton, NB announce his passing which occurred on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex NB. Born in Parleeville NB, on February 16, 1951 he was the son of Ruth (Henderson) Colpitts and the late Glen Colpitts. Our family is grateful to know that Lee is finally at peace.

Since his diagnosis in 2018, Lee lived life to the fullest. He loved meeting with friends, travelling, eating out and visiting his beautiful granddaughter – the apple of PaPa’s eye! He would do anything for his friends and he loved fiercely. His sense of humour made everyone who knew him laugh and smile at all the stories he shared. Lee will be remembered for his love of Farmall Tractors and was very proud of his collection.

In addition to his mother, Lee will be missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Sally; his son Benjamin (Kiera) Colpitts from Alberta; granddaughter Kenzington Colpitts; brother Ralph (Karen) Colpitts and families from Sussex and sister Bonny (Bryant) Tabor and families from Norton; sister-in-law Cindy Coates (Arnold) and families of Sussex, and niece Charity Lawson who always made Lee smile.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 3 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm. A Celebration of Lee’s life will be held at Sherwood’s Chapel September 9 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Riverbank Cemetery, Riverbank NB.
