Obituary of Charlie Neill

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles “Charlie” Willis Neill announce his passing which occurred on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Hatfield Point, NB, on May 14, 1929, he was the son of the late Walter and Laura (Long) Neill.

Charlie is survived by his children: Jim Neill (Barbara) of Hampton, NB, Paul Neill (Debbie) of Hampton, NB, Bob Neill (Ruth) of Miramichi, NB and Beth Kimball (Steven) of Woodstock, NB; grandchildren: Jonathan Neill (Christa), Benjamin Neill and Kalie Lackie (Brenden); great grandchildren: Dawson and Willow; as well as many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his loving wife Christina Neill; brother George Neill; and grandsons Jeremy Neill and Justin Neill.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Visitation will also take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1-2pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm all from Hatfield Point Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point, NB.
