Obituary of Earl Pearson
It is with great sadness that the family of Earl Malcolm Pearson announce his passing which occurred peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sussex, NB, on September 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Mac and Georgie (Sprague) Pearson.
Earl is survived by his son Stephen Pearson (Laurie) of New Maryland, NB; daughter Jacquelyn Perry (Wayne) of Cody’s, NB; grandchildren: Simon, Oliver, Hunter and Mya Pearson, Courtney Blais (Dan), Cody Perry (Kelsey Bishop) and Cassidee Perry; great grandchildren: Levi Blais, Ansley and Addison Perry; sisters: Donna Northrup (Doug) and Janet Main (Hallie Colpitts); special friend Stacie Scribbans; as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
Earl spent the majority of his time in the great outdoors hunting, fishing and caring for the many animals that were on the farm – many cherished lab dogs, cats, cows, chickens, pigs, horses, rabbits and most recently quails. He grew all vegetables and had a green thumb. He could never wait to get the first tomato out of the garden. He canned, froze, cooked and baked and nothing went to waste. Many people would know Earl as the meat cutter especially in the fall when the moose and deer were plentiful. October 1 was a special day for Earl as it was the opening day of duck season, he was skilled at calling those ducks.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, from 4 to 7PM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11:00AM from Sherwood’s Funeral Home Chapel.
