Obituary of Raymond Roy

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Gerard “Raymond” Roy announce his passing which occurred on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, surrounded by his children at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB. Born in Trembley, NB, on June 14, 1935, he was the son of the late Hector and Adelia Roy.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Ann Marie Roy (Maillet); children: Theresa Raven (Kenneth) of Norton, NB, Gerald Roy (Lynne) of Midland, NB and Anita Totton (Roy) of Midland, NB; brother-in-law Euclide Doucet of Saint John, NB; sister-in-law Nina Roy of Saint John, NB. Ten grandchildren and their spouses, his favourite granddaughter Aimee (Raven) Nicholle, nine grandsons, Cory Raven, Matthew Roy, Christopher Roy, Jarrett Totton, Justin Raven, Adam Roy, Jordon Totton, Geoffrey Roy, Jacob Totton; 21 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his brother Roger Roy and sister Aurela Doucet.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB where visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 4 to 7PM. Mass will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11:00AM from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norton, NB. Private Interment will take place at a later date at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Norton, NB.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Kiwanis Nursing Home for all their care given towards Raymond, your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.
