Obituary of Jerry Watson

It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald “Jerry” Stanley Watson announce his sudden passing which took place on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.  Born on July 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Judge) Watson.

Jerry is survived by his son Jason Gerald Watson of Calgary, AB, and daughters Janelle Watson of Springfield, NB, and Tanya Clark of Innisfil, ON; grandchildren: Jenna Pollock and Ben Niederl, Jaylin and Charlie Watson, and Mackenzie and Walker Cooke of Ontario;  brother Kenny Watson of Saint John, NB and sister Maureen of Winnipeg, MB.  In addition to Jerry’s parents, he was also predeceased by his daughter Michelle and brother Morris as well as his close friend Sheila Greenslade.

Jerry enjoyed his Sundays listening to the Grand Ole Opry and heading out on the road whether he was the driver, or the passenger didn’t matter to him.  Jerry had the gift to gab and when you saw his name came up on your phone you knew it would be a good conversation with lots of laughs.

Jerry worked for Maritime Paper in West Saint John for 25 plus years until it’s closure as an Industrial Mechanic.

Jerry also owned and operated Watson’s Septic Tank Service since 1980 and serviced all Kings & Queen’s County and beyond.

He took great pride in donating his services to those in need over the years including donating his services to many fundraisers throughout the community.
