Obituary of Arnold Ambrose Suter

It is with great sadness that the family of Arnold Ambrose Suter announce his passing which occurred on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at his home in Norton, NB. Born in Sydney, NS, on August 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Arnold and Gertrude (Tobin) Suter.

Arnold is survived by his children: Kenny Sutherland (Cindy) of McAdam, NB, David Sutherland (Deb) of Saint-Antoine, NB, Wade McEwen-Suter (Patricia) of Norton, NB, Doug Garnett of Quispamsis, NB, Marsha Davenport of Saint John, NB and Patty Sutherland of Saint John, NB; grandchildren: Beau Sutherland (Heather), Josh Sutherland (Stacey), Tabitha Kilpatrick (Kevin), Melissa Kent (Rick), Shane Sutherland (Sapphia), Kristina Keirstead (Ben Stewart), Andrea Keirstead (Kevin Wood) and Stacy Keirstead (Scott LaMont); sister Myrna White of California, USA; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Arnold was predeceased by his loving wife Verna Sutherland; three grandchildren; sister Verna, brother Freddie and daughter-in-law Michelle Garnet.

Arnold loved the outdoors, spending years hunting, fishing and going to his camp.  He was always an early riser, getting up early and staying busy working around the house/yard or heading out to help someone else. Arnold/Dad/Gramp will be missed every single day but we know he has been reunited with the love of his life, Verna/Mom/Nan. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 1 to 4PM. A family interment will take place in the spring at Southfield United Cemetery, Southfield, NB.
