Mrs Griffiths was my Grade 2 teacher as well as my Sunday school teacher. I remember staying at her house overnight and trying cheesecake for the first time! She was a wonderful and valuable staple of the community who touched many lives. My condolences to the family.

Joyce Griffith was a lovely person and by far my favorite teacher at Norton Elementary School. My mother, also a teacher, had such great respect for her that she named me after Joyce. I remember her fairness and her kindness. She will be missed by all.

My family moved back to Norton the December that I was in Grade 4. Mrs. Griffiths was my teacher. She ensured that I was part of the Christmas concert that year. That left a lasting impression on a little girl. I then found out that not only was she my teacher, but the beloved Aunt of my new Aunt, Shirley. Norton is a small village and we were all connected by having Mrs. Griffiths as our Grade 4 teacher. My sincere condolences to Kim and the entire family, and special love to Aunt Shirley.

So sorry for your loss. Your mother was an amazing person. She taught all of us (O’Donnell’s) in grade 4. There was one year she loaded up the car and took a few kids to the Santa Clause Parade in Sant John. All the years she donated her time to her church, community, and to the Basement Players. She is in the arms of the angels, and we hope your many memories will bring you comfort at this time.
