It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Douglas Bland announce his passing, which occurred on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Ontario, on November 14, 1957, he was a son of the late Douglas and Ardis (Downey) Bland.
Paul served many years in the military, working on army trucks and other mechanical work. He was a talented metal fabricator and could build, fix and restore just about anything. In his later years Paul used his skills working with show cars which included body work and paint jobs. Gardening and the outdoors were also important to Paul. He was always proud of his gardens and would invest many hours into them. He had an infectious laugh, a great sense of humour and will be missed by many.
Paul is survived by his companion Brenda Forgrave of Norton, NB; son Todd Forgrave (Tara); grandsons: Aaron and Samuel; sister Faith Bland; half-sister Jennifer; half-brothers: Jeffery, Patrick (Melissa) and Ron (Jane); niece Korrah Bland; as well as many extended family. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brother Brian Bland.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB and will be held privately.
