Played badminton with and against Tom for several years. He was a keen competitor and a tough opponent. In later years we shared a mutual interest in plants and I looked forward to talking with him at the Sussex and Queen Square market. Tom enjoyed a good discussion and the breadth of his knowledge assured a challenging and thoughtful sharing of ideas and opinions. He was a gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him

I was sad to hear of Tom’s passing. When I was in Real Estate I was at their home years ago.Tom’s father showed me all his wife’s Royal Daltons. She had many. He also showed me her three China patterns. She had her own pattern, her sister’s and her Mother’s. She was a teacher and taught away and came home on the weekends. Asa loved to talk to me and always wanted me to stay longer or come back soon. He was a wonderful man. Tom was always in the barn so Asa loved the company. Tom was a lawyer but preferred farming. I was up to Tom’s when he was selling flowers a few years ago. He is now with his Mom and Dad. My condolences to all the Cunningham Family. RIP Tom.

I had the pleasure to get to know Tom. He had such a brilliant mind and while definitely quiet most times, he could speak at length on any topic but never lost his boyish charm. I'm so sad to hear of his passing and I send heart-felt condolences to his family.

I have known Tommy Cunningham since being a young boy who came up to Highfield every summer with his mother and grandmother to their summer home. Tommy and his mother Louise moved to Sussex when Tommy started school and that is where Tommy's heart was, with his mother and father. Tommy was extremely smart having a law degree but this was not for him. He made many friends in university but his heart was with his father on the farm. I saw Tom many times during the past years, still very quiet and reserved. May Tom rest in peace as he is reunited with the two people he loved the best, his mother and father.

Our deepest sympathy to all the Cunningham families in the loss of Tom. He was one of our farm customers when we operated Hall Bros. several years ago. And of course a neighbour up the road from us, our thoughts and prayers.
