Obituary of Marlene Landry
It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara “Marlene” Landry announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Cambridge Narrows, NB, on April 2, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Cody and Mildred (Akerley) Belyea.
Marlene is survived by her loving son, Brent (Barbara) Landry of Great Falls, Virginia; her grandchildren: Crystal Tobin, Johnathon Tobin, Theresea Rusinko (Matt Inman), and John Michael Rusinko; and her brother, Gary (Shirley) Belyea, of Sussex, NB.
Marlene was a member of Cambridge Narrows High School’s first graduating class in 1953. She graduated from the Nursing Program at Victoria Public Hospital in 1956 and went on to work at Saint John General Hospital for 30 years. She retired in 1983 and eventually moved back to Cambridge Narrows in 1995, enjoying her gardens and retirement life.
In addition to her parents, Marlene is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Phillip Landry; her brothers, Gerald Belyea & Keith Belyea; and her sister, Shirley Dyer.
