It seems so strange to not be able to attend Marg’s funeral today. Our sympathy to Mike and Reita and her many friends. When I read the list of things Marg did and people she met weekly/daily I can hardly believe she was one person :). Colin and I enjoyed taking her on “mystery tours” these last few summers. Kind, generous, feisty, are just a few of the adjectives I would use to describe Marg. In lots of ways she is who we want to be when we grow up -- kept her independence, love of life and sense of humor right until the end. Marg leaves a big hole in the fabric of this community quilt -- we’ve all got some stepping up to do to even begin to fill the gap. I’m thankful to have known Marg and so happy she knew Jesus. Our deepest condolences to Mike and Reita at this sad time....Marg was small but mighty...always ready for a good joke ....she was a very good neighbor to all up and down the road...i remember working at Nev Sprague's and her coming to cheer her up in the afternoon with a container full of biscuits...and they were delicious.....She was always ready to hop in her car and was very proud of them...she would pop in to show you and get some fiddleheads...We will miss her sitting two seat ahead in church...always ready for a hand shake and a candy if you were starting to cough.....The lady that was know for her smile.... Hugs to you Mike and Reita

My sincere condolences go out to Marg's family and friends. I grew up in Bloomfield just one house away from the Hayes family where Marg worked at their Special Care Home. Marg was like a big sister to me, taking me under her wing. She was always so good and kind to me, letting me follow her around and to help her (i was probably more of a hindrance than a help). I remember how cheerfully she cared for each resident, sometimes singing to them or doing a little dance. I can't ever remember her without a smile on her face. After I grew up and married, I would often see her at variety shows where my husband, Stirling, would play and sing. It was always such a pleasure to see her once again. I will always remember her and give thanks for the love and kindness she gave to that little girl next door.

Very special person in my life. She always introduced me as her namesake and explained why my name was Margaret.
Had a great visit with her and Jake the day this picture was taken. She always loved seeing the latest Jake pictures and having a little visit with him.
She will be missed by our whole family.

Aunt Margaret, she was my newest ‘aunt’. From the moment we first saw her, we new she was family. She was a great comfort to my mother, her sister (Nina Perry). We visited with her as often as possible, she loved the sweet chocolates we brought. We were extremely lucky that she found us and was part of our family. She will be greatly missed.
The first picture is when we went to visit my mom’s grave. The second picture is when we first met her. The last picture is of the wonderfully thoughtful gift she gave me after my mom passed.
She will be missed

So sorry to hear of Marg's passing. I cant imagine the community without Marg's presence.
I have known Marg since the day I was born. I will always remember as a kid being on the party line with the store. She kicked us kids off the phone more than a few times because she needed to make a call. I also remember my mother calling her when my brother decided he loved penicillin so Marg and a few neighbours gathered around a big wash basin trying to make him throw it up. Funny the things you remember!
Most recently, Marg decided to pass some of her beloved knitting needles on to me. Thanks Marg, I think I got it!!
Rest in Peace and say hello to Ed

This is a lovely picture of Marg. We worked together at the old Kings County Memorial Hospital. She was very caring to all. We had lots of fun and made life long friends. We went on some adventures. The one most memorable was the trip to Gaspe' we had lots of laughs wondering if Margs car would make it up the hills. She loved Mike and Reita . I know God will surround you with his love as you both journey on this new road. Sincerely, Ruby (hawkes)Masson

So sorry for your loss. Have such great memories of Marg. Marg & Mom worked together at the old hospital and often traveled together back and forth. I surely remember Marg's VW. On occasion she would drop it off at the house to borrow Dad's truck. Once while Dad & Mom were away on vacation, Marg dropped her VW off and away I went with her VW, stick shift, not much for a heater and probably no license at the time. Marg you always brought about smiles in us all and we so enjoyed your stories and laughter. You will be so missed. R.I.P. Marg
