Obituary of Alice Alcorn-Kellier
The death of Alice May Alcorn-Kellier, age 92, wife of the late Wesley Alcorn of Sussex, NB and formerly of Belleisle Creek, NB occurred peacefully at her residence, on Monday, November 3, 2014. She was born on February 2, 1922, in Belleisle Creek, NB, a daughter of the late Percy and Adele (Hughes) Northrup.
Alice was a loving mom to her daughters Diane Westerhof of Niagara Falls, ON, Debbie Alcorn of Sussex, NB; sons Stephen Alcorn and his wife Sue of Belleisle Creek, NB, Jim Alcorn and his wife Carol of Campbell River, BC; six grandchildren Michael (Tara), Jordan (Stacey), Danny, Carissa (Will), Sarah, Anthony; six great grandchildren Celeste, Ashlyn, Taylor, Mariah, Lauren, Rowan; sister Jessie Patterson of Hampton, NB; sister-in-law Hattie Northrup of Fox Hill, NB; brothers-in-law Lee Alcorn and his wife Winn of Sussex, NB, Allan Ness of Sussex, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins in Canda and USA . She was predeceased by her second husband Francis Kellier; son-in-law Gerry Westerhof; sisters Hazel Neill and Frieda Ness; brothers Eldon and Gerald.
We would like to make a special thanks to the incredible, kind and caring nurses and staff of the Sussex Dialysis Unit, you were all very special to her. Another very special thanks to Mum’s caring and devoted home care workers – Elaine Folkins, Barb Finniss, Christine Ward & Cathy Morrell, your kindness was immeasurable, you were very dear to Mum. And to her Kings Manor friends, thanks for being such wonderful neighbors.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where a private visitation will be held. A public funeral service conducted by, The Rev. Wandlyn Snelgrove, will be held from St. Simon and St. Jude’s Anglican Church, Belleisle Creek at 11:00 am on Friday, November 7, 2014. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
