The death of Lois Ernestine Erb, age 81, wife of Robert Erb of Springfield, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on August 21, 2014. She was born on December 17, 1932, in Poodiac, NB, the daughter of the late Ernest and Laura (Mallory) Mahoney. Lois is survived by her husband Robert; sons Richard and Sherry Erb of Belleisle Creek, and Stephen Erb of Belleisle Creek and his companion Paula McDermott of Sussex; grandchildren Courtney, Makayla and Ethan; brother Leo and Donna Mahoney of Sussex and Reggie and Donna Mahoney of Sussex; sisters Loretta Hanlon of Bloomfield, Jean Graves of Grand Lake, Rita Bortolussi of Hamilton, ON, Irene and John Goddard of Grand Bay, Angela Henderson of Sussex and Dianne Ganong of Yellowknife, NWT; sisters-in-law Marion Mahoney of Passekeag, and Dianne Mahoney of Olds, AB several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers John, Ronnie and Fred; sisters Marie Mahoney and Kathleen Devine. Lois is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Monday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held from Sacred Heart Church, Norton at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. A private family interment will take place in Bayview Cemetery following the service Donations to the Canadian Lung Association or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
