Obituary of Douglas Brannen
The death of Douglas Robinson Brannen, age 92, husband of the late Ruby (Ross) Brannen of Moncton, NB, occurred on May, 9, 2013. He was born on Oct. 16, 1920, in Sussex Corner, NB, the son of the late Guy and Della (Robinson) Brannen.
He served in the RCAF during the Second World War and saw action in Europe. A mechanic by trade and a real Mr. Fix It. Doug was predeceased by his wife Ruby in 1995; also by brothers John, Edwin, and Walter; sisters Velma, Clara, Pauline and Edna. He is survived by nephews Gordon (Patti) of Doha, Qatar, and Jim (Debbie) of Lantz, NS; nieces Patricia (Steve) of Buffalo, NY and Connie (Joe) of Ocala, FL.
The family would like to thank Doug’s good friends and neighbors Roger and Lucy Cormier for all their help over the past years, without them Doug wouldn’t have been able to stay in his own home where he wanted to be.
A grave-side service, conducted by Otty Forgrave, will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 1:00 pm at Riverbank Cemetery.
