The death of Ruby Constance (Tayes) Sharp, wife of the late Grant Sharp, of Midland, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was born on June 30, 1930, in Upham, NB, the daughter of the late William and Althea (Sherwood) Tayes. Ruby is survived by her daughters Beverly DeVouge of Truro, NS, and Nancy Sharp of Midland; sons Randall and Cathy Sharp of Quispamsis, and Bill and Chris Sharp of Midland; grandchildren Patsy Payne, Willie, Lesley, Bethany and Jeffery DeVouge, Danielle, Kim, and Brandon Sharp; great granddaughter Jessica Payne; great grandson Silas Morrison; sisters Marcella Gilchrist, Leona and Paul McEwen, Winnifred and Guy Colpitts and Norma and Willard Mallory; brothers Wallace Tayes, Austin and Theresa Tayes, and Donnie and Shirley Tayes; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Peter DeVouge; sisters Doris Fortune and Cora Allaby; brothers Wesley and Alfred Tayes. She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 12 to 3pm, followed by Funeral Service, conducted by Rev. Wally Collette at 3pm, from Sherwood’s Chapel. Donations in memory of Ruby, may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Norton, or to the memorial of the donor’s choice, would be appreciated.
