The family of Burton Leslie Belyea of Wickham, NB, are deeply saddened to announce his death at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Burton was born in Saint John, NB, on March 4, 1951, the son of the late Ervine and Ada (Cox) Belyea. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Linda (Whittaker) Belyea; three daughters whom he adored, Kimberly MacDonald (Greg) of Wickham, NB, Julie McIsaac (Jimmy) of Fredericton, NB, and Leanne Belyea (Mat) of Fort McMurray, AB. He was the proud Papa of five precious grandchildren who brought great joy to his life, grandson Quade MacDonald, granddaughters Brooklynn MacDonald, Keira McIsaac, Matison and Mia Arch; also survived by sisters Lela Gee (Terry) and Stella Holmes (John); his mother-in-law Marion Whittaker, sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; one uncle; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Gilbert and father-in-law Kenneth Whittaker. Burton was diagnosed with kidney disease as a young man, and as a result he was unable to continue to operate his dairy farm. He also started his own successful meat cutting business. He enjoyed hunting, farming, gardening, attending auctions, as he always thought he saw a good bargain, and spending time with his family and friends. Despite his health issues, he always had a positive outlook and a willingness to help others. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Thursday, August 30, 2012, from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Pastor Greg Loosley, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am., on Friday, August 31, 2012.
