Agnes Petrea Pope of Belleisle Creek, NB, passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Center on May 31, 2012, at the age of 98. She was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 15, 1913 daughter of the late Jens & Petrea Jensen. Agnes will be dearly missed by her loving husband and soul mate, Roy, and her three sons, Peter & Brenda, Fred & Donna and Roy Jr. & Gwen. She will also be sadly missed by her many grandchildren, Tony (Sherry), Jeanette Howley (Jeremy), Brad (Susan), Shawn (Jennifer), Barry (Isabel), Dennie (Tanya), Kris (Catherine), Jill Wilson ( Andrew), Jensen, Kyle (Kaylee) and eight great-grandchildren, Connor, Cameron, Emmerson, Avery, Laura, Emma, Hannah & Hayden. She was predeceased by her sisters, Alma (John) Iversen, Kay (Ole) Christensen and Jenny (Nelson) Eveleigh. Aggie will be remembered for her love of gardening, having worked along side the farm crew harvesting crops until age 75 at which time she and Roy took up golfing and enjoyed the game until age 95. She loved a good game of cards, often with her grandchildren, but enjoyed winning even more. Always up to date on the latest news, Aggie could debate politics and the state of the economy with the best of men. She was a strong woman and her presence will be missed by family and friends. She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Friday from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am.
