Obituary of George Stockford

Business man George Stockford of Wickham, NB, died with his family, and wife of 48 years by his side, as she held his hand, on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his home in Wickham. He was the beloved husband of Linda B. (Weaver) Stockford; son of the late Melville and Violet (Lawson) Stockford. He was also predeceased by two sons Michael Roy and Bruce Earl on February 20, 1979. He is survived by his beautiful daughter Susan Stockford and Wayne Parks of Salt Springs; sons James and Sandra of Quispamsis, Brian and Wendy of McDonald’s Point; two beautiful granddaughters Natalie M. and Kristie Nora Parks of Salt Springs; two loved grandsons Scott G. Stockford of Quispamsis and Michael Stockford of Fredericton; seven brothers Earl and Liz of McDonald’s Point and Florida, David and Marlene of Wickham, Robert of Wickham, Ronald and Linda (Ducky) of Wickham, Melville and Georgette of Wickham, Wayne of Quispamsis, and Gordon of McDonald’s Point; four sisters Shirley and Floyd Cameron of Upper Hampstead, Sharon and John Urquhart of Kars, Norma Urquhart of Ontario and Ella Marie and Stanley West of Ontario; special cousin Bill and Sallee McCrea of Colorado Springs, CO and Nevada; two aunts; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is resting at Outreach Pentecostal Church, 2129 Route 124, Hatfield Point, NB, with visiting on Wednesday, from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Harry Lewis, will be held at 2:00 pm., Thursday, February 16, 2012, from Outreach Pentecostal Church. Interment will take place in Wickham Cemetery following the service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to War Amps (Limbs For Kids) P.O. Box 6666 Stn A, Fredericton, NB E3B 5G4 or Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology Department or donor’s choice.
