Obituary of Charles Boyd

Charles Willard Boyd of Belleisle Creek, NB, passed away peacefully at home, March 1, 2011. Charles was born in Annidale, on June 4, 1918, to Thomas and Eleanor Jane (Simpson) Boyd. Charles was married to Peggy Raw and raised six children; sons Richard and Glenna, Harris and Marie and Charles Andrew and Cindy; daughters Christine Sprague, Staicy and Alan Whittaker and Linda Watson; grandchildren Shaun and Shannon Boyd, Jason and Janelle Watson and Tanya Clark, Geoffrey and Timothy Boyd, Scott and Cory Sprague, Gus Hourihan and Ashley Boyd; great grandchildren Ella Boyd, Jenna Pollock, Jaylin and Charlie Watson, Katie Boyd, Maddie, Cece and Jack Charles Boyd, Cullan, Elliot and Reese Sprague, Kaci and Kaden Sprague and Walker and Mackenzie Cooke; sister-in-law Edna Boyd; several nieces and nephews and special nephew Blois Boyd. He was predeceased by twin brother Alec (Alexander), Everett, Harris and Ellis; granddaughter Michelle and infant son Andrew Charles. Charles was a World War II veteran who served most of the war overseas. He was a former President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 76. Charles was an electrical, plumbing and heating contractor, hanging up his hard hat at the age of 75. Dad loved building things, whether it was a set of harness, or a go cart. He loved horses and organized and participated in many horse shows in his younger years. A date will be announced in the Spring, regarding a memorial service at Stewarton United Church.
