The death of Helen Short, age 65, occurred at the Mill Cove Nursing Home, Mill Cove, NB, on Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was born on November 26, 1945, the daughter of the late Berton and Anna (Hemsworth) Short. Helen is survived by her sister Carol and Don of Dartmouth, NS; brothers John of Quispamsis, NB, and Fred of Hatfield Point, NB; one niece, two nephews and several cousins. At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. A private family service, conducted by Father Peter Bagley, will be held. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norton, NB, in the spring. Donations to the Mill Cove Nursing Home or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Helen’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Mill Cove Nursing Home for the loving care that Helen received during the last twelve years.
