The death of Marion Sylvia (Hayes) Alcorn, age 94, formerly of Belleisle Creek, NB, occurred at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB, on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. She was the wife of the late Albert Alcorn. Marion was born in Searsville, NB, on September 21, 1916, the daughter of the late George and Ada (Ganong) Hayes. She is survived by her daughter Barb and Jim Burns of Rothesay; granddaughters Janet and Jeff Hope and Patti Steeves; great grandchildren Julia and Gregory Hope and Conor and Jaylen Steeves; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Erna Keirstead, Stella Quick and Olive Lee; brothers Roy and Earl Hayes. She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visitation on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service conducted by Rev. Leo Martin, will be held from St. Simon and St. Jude’s Anglican Church, Belleisle Creek, NB, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010. Interment will take place in adjoining Cemetery.
