Obituary of Marjorie Hovey
The death of Marjorie Melissa (Barton) Hovey, age 88, wife of the late Ernest C. Hovey of Waterborough, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital, on Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was born on May 8, 1922 at Waterborough, NB, the daughter of the late Theodore and Louise (Beak) Barton.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters Ilean and Leslie Northrup of Henderson Settlement, Margaret and Roger Brown of Chipman, and Ruth and Michael Saunders of Waterborough; son John and Marilyn Hovey of Waterborough; twelve grandchildren Anastasia Northrup (Chris), Jenn Douthwright (Joe), Casey Brown, Joshua Brown, Audrey Small (Edward), Cathy Hovey, Peter Hovey (Charity), David Hovey, Jessica Saunders, Travis Saunders, Alex Hovey and Rebecca Hovey; ten great grandchildren Nicholas and Rowan Northrup, Lily and Maezie Douthwright, Megan and Jonathan Small, Alicia Hovey, Christien, Gabriel and Ethen Hovey; brother Everett Barton of Lincoln; sister Marion Crawford of Mill Cove; sister-in-law Evelyn Barton of Mill Cove; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Emerson and three infant daughters.

Visiting will be at her residence 6024 Route 105, Waterborough, NB, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral service, with Michael O’Hara officiating, will be held from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Young’s Cove, NB, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Interment will be in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, White’s Cove.
