It is with great sadness that the family of James Thomas Forgrave announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Sussex, NB, on June 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Smith) Forgrave.
Jim will always be remembered as the man with many skills. Truck driver, mechanic, carpenter, but above all a great Dad. He loved being in the woods, tending to his garden, hunting and fishing and loved to work on his Chev trucks.
You would always see him around, whether sitting out around town in his truck or tinkering around in his yard. He always had a big smile and waved for everyone he knew. He might have been stubborn, but he lived his life the way he wanted to the fullest.
James will live on in the hearts of his children: Tammy Tobin (Matthew) of Searsville, NB, Amanda Forgave of Hillsdale, NB, and James Forgrave (Athenia Adair) of Apohaqui, NB; grandchildren: Kayla, Cody, Sheldon, Shane, Abby, Jeremy, Alivia and Micheala; sisters: Wendy Hepburn, Connie McVicar, Joanne Craft and Marsha Aubin; brothers: Paul, Billy and Tom Forgrave; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his sister Nancy Hayes; and brother Richard Forgrave.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Memorial donations in memory of James may be made to a Living Memorial or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
