Obituary of Annie Wilson

It is with great sadness that the family of Annie Elizabeth Wilson announces her passing which occurred on May 13, 2020 at her home in Belleisle Creek, NB. Born in Kars, NB, on October 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Muriel (Vail) Robertson. Annie was a founding member of the Quilting Grannies and was a long time supporter of Christmas Daddies over the years. Annie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jim Wilson; children: Linwood Wilson and his wife Lydia of Collina, NB, and Darlene Sleep and her husband Paul of Penobsquis, NB; brothers: John (Linda) Robertson of Kars, NB, Ronald (Wanda) Robertson of Kars, NB, and Vincent (Karen) Robertson of Cape Sable Island, NS; sisters: Eva (Bill) Mitravitz of Cawston, BC, Elsie (Clarence) LeBlanc of Cape Breton, NS, Helen (Donald) Kennedy of Hampton, NB, Sharon (Edwin) McLean of Apohaqui, NB, Esther (Steve) Roach of Brownsburg-Chatham, QC, and Dianne (Blair) Sorrey of Montague, PE; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Annie was predeceased by her two sons: James and Joseph Wilson; and brother, Telmage Robertson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. With the current restrictions on public gatherings due to COVID-19 and according to Annie’s wishes, there will be no public events at the present time. There will be a private family interment at Union Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Annie may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
