Obituary of Margaret Campbell

It is with sadness, we announce the passing of Margaret (Margot) Jean Campbell, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 3, 2020, at the age of 83. Born August 3, 1936 in Norton NB, she was the daughter of the late Edward (Ned) Campbell and the late Florence (Thorne-MacDonald) Campbell. Margot was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by twin siblings, Malcolm and Florence. Margot graduated from Sussex High and started her career at J Clark and Son, went on to work at Sussex Ginger Ale in Sussex and transferred to Seven Up Sussex Ltd in Saint John. She then worked with C-I-L Inc in Montreal and transferred to North York, Ontario where she retired. Margot returned to Norton in 1992 and worked part-time at Speedy Propane in Sussex and Saint John, Charm Jewelry (Sussex), the Village of Norton, RDPC in Norton and Sussex and Sears in Norton. Margot was a member of the Norton United Baptist Church, volunteered on the Village of Norton Streets and Sewage Committee, involved in Neighbourhood Watch, and a board member of CNIB. She enjoyed her many friends and the life of a small village. At Margot’s request, there will be no visitation and the interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton. Condolences to the family may be made through
