Obituary of Kemys Cosman
Surrounded by his family, Kemys Kingsley Cosman, age 85, husband of Ivy (Hawthorne-Allen) Cosman of Norton, NB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Kemys was born on August 12, 1934 in Kingston, NB, one of 17 children born to Lawrence and Brentha (McLean) Cosman.
Kemys enjoyed feeding and watching his fish jump, playing cards, dancing and listening to his radio. He loved his garden. He loved to paint anything he could. He always liked to joke and a good story and always had a comeback. He was a great talker and liked to visit people and offer help when possible. He was very fun loving and will be deeply missed!
He is survived by his wife Ivy; daughters Colleen and Steven Foulger, Debra Cosman and Mike Savoy, son Francis Cosman and Tanya McLellan; grandchildren Mikey and Nick Herrington, Rebecca and Tyson Foulger, Brianna McLellan; siblings Gloria Holland, Edward Cosman, Wayne Cosman and Ansley (Carol) Cosman ; sisters-in-law, Betty Mullaly, Marge Cosman, Fran Cosman, Elanor Cosman, Louise(Paul) Stanwix; brothers- in-law Herman (Rena) Hawthorne, Robert (Linda) Hawthorne, and George (Bev) Hawthorne, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Roberta Mullaly; granddaughter Ashley, siblings Gwen Moody, Dorothy Kellier, Francis, Roland, DeVern, Carl, Ralph, Cecil, Darrell, Clinton, Theodore and Andrew Cosman; sisters-in-law Helene Mullaly, Eileen Bagley, Carmel Mullaly, Grace Kelly, Carol Mullaly, Betty Mallery; brothers-in-law Father Raymond Mullaly, Joe Mullaly, Dean Hawthorne, and Harry Hawthorne
Resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norton, will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
