Obituary of Gary Marks
It is with breaking hearts that the family announces the passing of Gary Francis Marks on November 19, 2019. Gary was born in Saint John, NB on August 20, 1980.
He was always a mechanic at heart, from the age of two and he continued to follow his passion working for many businesses and at the age of 16 he started working for Al Keddy for many years then worked with Kenny Campbell at Big K.
His greatest gift of all was his son Jackson, who was always with him in the yard or garage tinkering or planning their next project.
Besides his son Jackson, Gary is also survived by Jackson’s mother Wendy along with her sons: Bayton and Talon Brideau; his mother Nancy Marks (Kevin Hourihan); his sisters: Wendy (Peter) Smith, Ashley (Brian) Howe; his maternal grandmother Helen Rattray; his nieces and nephew: Rebecca Smith (Blake Jennings), Michael Smith, Karleigh Smith, Charley Howe; his Godparents Paul (Judy) Tays; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Franny Marks; paternal grandparents Charles (Irene) Marks; maternal grandfather John Rattray and his loving dog Chevy.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from Sherwood’s Chapel. Interment will follow in Riverbank Cemetery.
