It is with heavy hearts that the family of Viva Irene (Crandell) Carpenter, wife of Robert Carpenter of Carpenter-Wickham, NB, announce, her death which occurred at Gagetown on May 30th, at the age of 84. She was born on February 18, 1934, in Birdton, NB, the daughter of the late Elwood and Ruth (Bird) Crandell. Viva is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, her son James and Gail of Carpenter-Wickham; daughter Wendy Quist of Fort Vermilion, AB; grandchildren Caroline, Kathlene, Cole and Cohen; one nephew Dan and Special niece Louise. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Betty Chapman and nephew Gary Chapman. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Saturday, June 2, at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Funeral service will be held Monday from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Carpenter-Wickham, NB. Donations in memory of Viva may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
