Obituary of Scott Osmond

With broken hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our dearest Scott who died peacefully at his home in Kiersteadville, NB, on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Born in Grand Falls – Windsor, NL in 1948, he was the son of the late Hedley and Violet (Reid) Osmond. Scott was a kind and giving man, who always found the good in people wherever he went. He was a proud Newfoundlander who loved his home and camp. Scott will be remembered for his love of life, his family and his sense of humor. He made our world a better place. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary (Gallagher) Osmond; son Stephan Osmond, who was the light of his life; brother Earl "Bud" (Francis); sister Barbara (Melvin); sister-in-law Dallas Osmond; as well as several nieces, nephews and many dear friends from coast to coast. Scott had a special place in his heart for the Gallagher family and considered them his closest friends and family. He will also be missed by his little canine companion, Nitro. Besides his parents, Scott was predeceased by his brother Gerald Osmond. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00AM from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norton. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
