Obituary of Oakley Totton
With great sadness the family announce the death of Oakley Julian Totton, age 97, of Midland, NB, which occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was born in Salmon Creek, NB, on June 25, 1919, the son of the late George and Pearl (McBride) Totton,
Oakley is survived by sons Robert Totton of Elgin and Doug and Connie Totton of Midland; daughters Debbie and Bob Plume of Havelock and Shirley and Tim Dvorak of Perkinsfield, ON; grandchildren Chris, Andrew, Jason, Matthew, Doug, Sharon, Bobby-Joe, Billy-Joe, Gregory, Kevin, Chelsea, Tinisha, Nicholas and Daniela; great grandchildren Landon, Brock, Carleigh-Rae, Dakota, Gabby, Alex, Morgan, Quinton and Abby; several nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his brothers Willis, George, Basil, Gerald, Vern and Garnet; sisters Velzora, Leota and Velma.
Visitation will take place at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Archdeacon Robert Marsh, will be held from Midland Baptist Church at 11:00 am, on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Interment in Midland Cemetery will take place in the spring.
