To Louise and children & to all of Holly's Brother's and Sister's, We just wanted to let you know that our thoughts, prayers and sincere sympathy is extended to you all at this very sad time. It sure was a shock to us all. The last time I saw Holly he was sitting on his deck up country at his house, (if I remember correctly he was in a rocking chair). I had Mum and Dad out for a drive and Dad said their is someone on Holly's deck, so you know me I had to go check it out as Mum and Dad didn't know he was back in Wickham, sure enough it was Holly. He was so excited, said he didn't know who was coming up his driveway with a very big fancy car (no it was not a Lincoln or Cadillac which I would like to have). Dad and him talked for an hour or more. Mum, Dad and all of us thought the world of Holly, he was a great guy, always smiling, laughing and a very jolly person & nothing seemed to bother him. What a shock!! Karen and I want to express how deeply saddened we are at Holly's passing. Karen had a truly wonderful visit with Holly this past November when he came up to Charity's special to visit as we were not going to be around for the big birthday celebration. She truly enjoyed his visit....unfortunately I missed that, but have so many, many memories of Holly that will be forever etched in my memory. You know, that summer I visited you and Holly in Wales back in 1969....what a highlight that was in my life and remains so. We had some great adventures that summer! I could go on and on as all of us who knew Holly can, with stories and recollections of his stories and adventures. Those of us who knew Holly well, we all experienced the world through Holly and his adventures and stories....Holly lived LARGE and he shared LARGE. What a kind and compassionate man! I also remember many laughs and great conversation sitting around the table... usually eating a great meal that included ice cream.
