It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of John Wayne McMillan, of Searsville, NB, on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Sussex Health Centre. Wayne passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife of 50 years, and his five children. Born in Head of Millstream on March 11, 1941, he was the son of the late Charles Allen and Lena (Hayes) McMillan. Wayne is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Elsie (Malone) McMillan; sons, Trevor (Mary Jane) McMillan, Belleisle Creek; Shawn (Diane) McMillan, Midland; Karl Anthony (Lyndsey) McMillan, Belleisle Creek; daughters, Lana Morrell and Nicole (Troy) McCullum, both of Belleisle Creek. Beloved grandchildren, Kirkland, Colby, Matthew, Thomas, Jacob, Olivia, Noah, Tristan, Kalei and Chase. Brother, Purdy (Margaret); sisters, Joan, Jean and Leona; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Ronald and Douglas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB where visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm, on Monday, August 15, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Father Dan Bastarache, will be held from Sacred Heart Church, Norton, at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Interment will take place in South Branch Cemetery. Donations in memory of Wayne may be made to the South Branch Cemetery or the memorial of the donor’s choice.
