Obituary of Bernard Ross
Bernard William Ross, age 77, husband of Elda (Gallant) Ross of Norton, NB, passed away at his residence on June 9, 2016. He was born in Norton, NB, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Cummings) Ross.
Bernard worked for CN Rail for 37 years until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends. He also enjoyed going for drives and finding a good restaurant. His pride and joy was his family, and most of all his grandchildren. Anyone wanting to find out directions to anywhere in the Maritimes always called and asked him, as he was a great traveler.
Bernard is survived by his wife Elda; son Gary (Paula) of Sarnia, ON; daughter Lori (Gary Whittaker) of Norton; grandsons John and Chris; step-grandchildren Dougie, Amanda, Arron, Bradley and Ryan; step-great granddaughter Miley; brother Howard and Joyce Ross of Quispamsis; sister Anne Brownfield of Moncton; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his daughter Christine; son Norman; sister Agnes Hodgin; brothers-in-law Leonard Hodgin and David Brownfield.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visitation from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm on Sunday. Mass of Christian burial, celebrated by Father Dan Bastarache will be held from Sacred Heart Church, Norton at 11:00 am on Monday, June 13, 2016. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
