Passed peacefully away with her daughter by her side, Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, Helen May Geddes Robertson, of Wickham, in her 85th year. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Robertson, in 2000. Leaving to mourn their sad loss, her loving children Jim (Ros), Brett (Sharon) and Nancy Kusnierz (Dan), seven grandchildren, Amy, Rebecca, Sarah, Evan, Andrew, Brett and Will. Two great grandchildren, Lily and Aurora and one on the way! Mum was a strong independent woman who loved her family with all her heart. She was an avid gardener and loved decorating her home, and visiting with friends and neighbours. Anyone who met Mum once never forgot her (although she always said she should have been an international spy). She met new friends in the supermarket, bank, shopping centres, everywhere she went people seems to be drawn to her quick wit. She met them as strangers and immediately became friends. Her pets, newspapers and cross word puzzles were her comfort. Mum was the smartest self educated person we ever met. She could talk to anyone about any subject and loved to lend a listening ear. We sincerely would like to thank the staff at Sussex Health Centre for their compassionate and professional care that mum received these past 8 months. We will miss her everyday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. As per Helen’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service held. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the SPCA or the memorial of the donor’s choice.
