It is with great sadness the family of Donald Emery Ford announces his passing which occurred at his home in Qualicum Beach, BC with his wife Janet at his side on August 10, 2015. Donald was born in Belleisle Creek, NB and was the son of the late Gerald and Burnadeen (Pearson) Ford. Donald graduated from Belleisle Regional High School in 1958. He went to Toronto in 1959 to work on the floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange. Later Donald worked with the Gulf Oil Company, where he was a supervisor over the key punch section. He was retired for 23 years and worked a fifty acre hobby farm with sheep and pleasure horses. Donald and his first wife Susan (Thorborn) parented two children Richard and Lisa Ford. They have five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Donald has three brothers, Malcolm and his wife Patrica, Ralph and his wife Elaine and Leonard Ford; two sisters Madaline Fowler and Kathleen (Elston) Boutilier and several nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his first wife Susan. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
