Obituary of Brent Allan O'Donnell

It is with great sadness that the family of Brent Allan O’Donnell, announce his passing which occurred on Friday, September 18, 2026, at his home in Moosehorn Creek, NB. Born in Sussex, NB on September 9, 1969, he was the son of Eunice O’Donnell (Given) and the late Stan O’Donnell.

Brent married the love of his life on September7, 2001, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. They were blessed with two daughters, Breanna and Clara, who were the pride and joy of his life. Brent was incredibly proud of his girls and all they accomplished, and he cherished every moment of watching them grow into the wonderful women they are today.

With over 30 years of dedicated service at Gulf Operators, Brent took great pride in his work and was known as one of the best operators around. He earned the respect and admiration of the many people he worked alongside throughout the years.

Outside of work, Brent enjoyed the things that made life special to him. He loved singing and playing guitar, and some of his fondest memories were made at the camp with his dad and brothers during hunting season. He treasured those days spent together, sharing stories, laughter, and time with the people he loved. Brent was also a devoted Montreal Canadiens fan and proudly cheered on his favourite team.

Giving back to his community was also important to Brent. He proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in Norton, helping the community he grew up in and cared so deeply about.

Brent also had a special place in his heart for his beloved pets, Silvey, Hadi, and Marble, who brought him plenty of companionship, comfort, and joy over the years.

Above all, Brent was a true friend. He was the kind of person who would always lend a helping hand, without hesitation and without asking questions. If someone needed him, he was there. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to be there for others were simply a part of who he was.

Brent will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the pride he took in his work, his love of music, hunting, hockey, and the outdoors, and most of all, the kindness he showed to the people around him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him

Brent is survived by his loving wife Suzanne of Moosehorn Creek, NB; children: Breanna, Clara and Josh; brothers: Laurie O’Donnell of Norton, NB, Danny O'Donnell (Wanda) of Sussex, NB, David O’Donnell (Shelly) of Moosehorn Creek, NB, and Barry O’Donnell (Gerri) of Southfield, NB; nieces and nephews: Colton, Jessica, Brittany, Jordan, Justin, Brandon, Donovan, Devon, Wyatt, John and Bruce. In addition to his father, Brent was predeceased by his niece Miranda.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Monday, Sept 21, from 4 to 7pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norton, NB. A private family interment will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
