To the Steeves boys. I am sending my truest appreciation in having been your teacher over the years at BRHS and therefore getting to know both of your parents. They were always invested in your education, were very supportive of the school and always helped b me out through your Dad’s sense of humour. I am very sorry about his passing. The friendship we shared with George is very special to us and the memories we share with him and Coleen are unforgettable. George was a wonderful and thoughtful friend - always so interested in us and our family. We shared many amazing vacations with them and will always remember them with great fondness and love. Our most special connection is, however, our Faith. We know that this is not good bye, but we will see you again George. We are so sad today, but so very happy for you- no more sickness, no more pain, no more sorrow. Special thoughts and condolences and love to the boys and their families. I was devastated to hear that George passed away this week. We’ve been like brothers since Junior High. I was so very glad I was able to spend three days with George while I was recently back East. We had lots of stories that started as “…. Remember when ….?”, shared a ton of laughs along with a few cries. George showed such inner strength and resolve I attributed to his unwavering faith. Rest in Peace my dearest friend. My deepest condolences to Colleen, her family and to all of George’s friends.

George set a great example for me as a boy, then young man. Even before I accepted Jesus and truly understood what it meant, we would discuss things of faith. I’m blessed to have grown up with an amazing family, and further blessed to have grown up beside this family. So many good times. I will always have a love of so many bands because of George. He always had awesome tunes playing. Miss you George, and I look forward to seeing you again in Glory.

My deepest condolences to the family. George and I were good friends. We worked together for a few years. One of the kindest and funniest person you could meet.
