Obituary of Greta Sas

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Greta Sas announce her passing which occurred on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Born in Beets, North Holland, the Netherlands, on December 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Anna (Plijter) Wals and wife of the late Pieter Sas.

Greta is survived her three sons:  Wouter Sas of Springfield, NB, Jan Sas (Leslie Jean McGregor-Sas) of Springfield, NB, Hendrik (Jessica) Sas of Rusagonis, NB; grandchildren: Samantha, Christopher and Kandace.

The Family would especially like to thank all members of the NB Extra Mural Program, Dow Quality Health Care Sussex (and especially Samantha McGegor, Ashley Hebert Vinet, Theresa Holland-Brooks & Jennifer Miller and Angelia) and lastly to Megan and Dr. Michael Haslett for their kind, compassionate and incredibly comforting assistance in our Mom’s final years: It was and is more appreciated by us than words on paper could ever express, Thank you on behalf of our Mom.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, and will be held privately.
