Our deepest sympathies to joes family for this incredible loss of such a kind and sincere person.i worked with joe at the evandale shop and over the past year had the privilege of getting to know him .he was one of the best people I have ever met. Always the first to say good morning when we walked into the shop at the start of every day always a big smile and a sharp comback to any comment as well as being the first to offer any help to any member of our work family ,if he thought he could help in any way, joe had a big heart and genuinely cared for all people around him and especially his fur babies ..we will miss his laughter and comradery in our day to day workplace.he will be very sadly missed by all of us at evandale depot .rest well and peacefully joe, till we meet again my friend

On behalf of the members Stewy Town 695 Hunt Club( circa 70s,80s,90s), we sincerely extend our sympathies and condolences to Joey's family. Joey was a hunting icon.
Every night, Joey gave us up-to-date statistics of deer registered with weights and points included, from both ends of 695.Joey shared tips on apples and rye grass . He sampled our chowders and BBQs at the camp. An ice cold beer was always reserved for Joe's arrival. He never had time for a card game. He was a man on a mission. After a snow storm it was interesting how he tracked the monster Big Bucks, but he was sworn to secrecy, on a need to know basis, or down the road in the woods..he chuckled at us City Slickers as he called us.
Rest in Peace...Joe

I am saddened to learn of Joeys passing! He was my cousin! Many great memories of Joey in Latimore Lake, then Stewarton. He was a simple man with a gentle soul! I remember Laura and Allan as youngsters and how proud he was of them. Unfortunately over the past years I lost touch with him. He will be remembered fondly.
