Obituary of Glenna Boyd

With broken hearts, the family of Glenna Winnifred Boyd announce her passing on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Glenna was born on March 16, 1942 in Millstream, NB, a daughter of the late Edward and Victoria (Mason) Wood.

Glenna is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard Boyd of Norton, NB; her sons: Shannon Boyd (Jacquie) of Midland, NB, Shaun Boyd (Angel) of Midland, NB and Sheldon Wood (Marion) of Sussex, NB; grandchildren: Cindy Almon, Kevin Wood, Ella Prescott-Boyd, Hudson Boyd, and Nolan Boyd; great-grandson Logan; brother: Arnold Wood (Doreen) of Sussex, NB; along with many extended family members.

Besides her parents, Glenna was predeceased by her brothers: Elmer Gailey, Emerson Gailey, Hartley Gailey, Wesley Gailey, Talbert Gailey and Darrell Wood; sister Shirley Perry.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), Norton, NB where all services will be held privately. A celebration of Glenna’s life will be held at the Belleisle Community Centre on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
