I just want to send my Condolences to Oscar family. I was one of the children that Oscar taught in the Lands End School. He called me when he had heard my wife Marilyn was killed in 2020. I still remember him from the little school house. He was a good man.

To Mr. Boyd’s family, words can express our sorrow in your loss. Oscar was my teacher, and principal at Norton Elementary. He was so kind, caring, and respectful when I was a student. I was looking for a quote or tribute to write for what a wonderful teacher he was to me and others. I found this. It says all things Mr. Boyd was as a teacher.

We were saddened to hear of Oscar sudden death. We send our deepest sympathies to all the families. Norton Village certainly has lost a wonderful citizen who truly had compassion for all over the years he spent teaching and as Mayor.
Oscar and I spent many hours together preparing Norton stories for a future book, which he continued to work on.
