Obituary of Lloyd Mott
It is with deep sadness that the family of Lloyd Calvin Mott announce his passing at Bobby’s Hospice on February 14, 2026, with his loving family by his side. Lloyd was born in Crafts Cove on October 3, 1935, the son of the late Theodore and Gladys (McKenzie) Mott.
Lloyd worked hard all his life and took pride in everything he did. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Lloyd is survived by his son Calvin Mott of Saint John, NB; his daughter Gloria Mott (Brian) of Rothesay, NB; stepdaughters: Bonny Johnson, Heather Johnson: stepson Michael Johnson (Tracy); grandchildren: Jessica Mott, Michael Wilson, Katie-Lynn Cheney, Hannah Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Nikolas Johnson, Ty Johnson; great-grandchildren: Logan Mott-Chisholm, Brooke Wilson, Ben Cheney, Charlotte Cheney; sister Irene Cyr (Charlie); brother-in-law Burton Reid (Sharon); sisters-in-law: Jane Steeves, Sandra Gray (David), Kathy Bostwick and Gwen Bostwick; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his first wife Thelma, his second wife Gerri, sister Jean Reid; stepsisters: Nora Brown and Myrtle Braman; brothers-in-law: Vince Laskey, Sterling Braman, Roland Reicker, George MacDonald, George Bostwick, John Bostwick and Joseph Bostwick; sisters-in-law: Shirley Reicker, Peggy MacDonald and Roma Conley; stepmother Gretta Mott; mother-in-law Maimie Steeves.
A special “Thank You” to all the staff at Bobby’s Hospice and to Julien Meyer and Pam Weston for the beautiful music therapy you provided, it truly made a difference.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB where visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Shannon Baptist Church, Shannon, NB at 1:00pm. The interment will be held in the spring at the Belyea’s Cove Cemetery.
